It was a stopping point on our way to our main vacation destination. We were disappointed that there was no indoor swimming pool nor was the outside pool set up to use. There was no microwave nor small fridge in the room. The staff running the breakfast buffet did a poor job. They never replaced the fruit after I asked them too. I also overheard 2 more people ask for fruit to which none was replenished. At one point, half the eating area was empty however every table was full of dirty dishes. The lady running the buffet area spent most of her time being social while there were people waiting for her to clean the tables so they could sit down. At one point, they had 2 large coffee containers and they still ran out of coffee. Although the place served it's purpose for us, I would not stay there again. There are too many options of places to stay across the street and a block down the road.

Charming atmosphere with a clean lobby and attentive staff. The bed in the King Room was comfortable, nice for a restful night. Breakfast options was really nice, and having a bar on-site added a nice touch after a long drive. Despite a few minor hiccups with WiFi connectivity, overall, a solid choice for travelers.

New Years Eve Crash and Burn
We were traveling home from the holidays and decided to stay at the Remada in Statesville. The reason was that they had a bar and grill and we could have dinner and then celebrate the evening without driving and be able to walk to the room. When we were checking in I asked if we needed reservations for the restaurant the girl at the counter said 'unfortunately the bar and grill would be closed for the holiday'. WHAT!! We would have chosen another hotel if we knew that. (That is exactly why they did not post that they were not going to be open for New Years Eve.) Please understand that the only reason we chose this particular hotel was because of the bar and grill. So when we were told that they would not be open I was pretty perturbed. I tried talking to girl explaining this and all she could say was ' I understand'. I contacted the corporate and they said that they could not do anything. With all of the options to stay overnight at , you would think that they would like to make this right. Oh well maybe Best Western or Marriott next time.

They lost my reservation from Booked.net and charged me $10 more than when I booked on line; I hope I'm not charged twice! The hotel is shabby and breakfast was awful.

The rooms were clean and well furnished.
The staff could not handle the crowd. We waited a long time to check in. When we did they couldn't find our reservation. Booked.net was another screen. The restaurant was also under staffed. Food was okay. The continental breakfast was the worst I have been to.
